The Unknown: The Red Line.
Codrescu served us beignets on the balcony
10:50 A.M.
Getting ready to do an interview for NPR.
The tour and its eccentricities.
Codrescu was a terrific host.
The coffee had chicory in it.
We were all nursing fairly major headaches from one too
Many hurricanes, margaritas, mint juleps, Abita beers,
The crawfish from the previous night, the gumbo of the late
Late early morning, the transvestites and the puppeteers,
The tap dancers and the tourists, the brawls and the
Bare-breasted streetcars named desire
And the filets with Béarnaise at the Admiral and
Lunch at Petunias, Spinach Mushroom Crepes floating in Provolone
Blowing glass with Andy Brott and only 1 of us getting burned
Hope the hand gets better, Dirk
There was a lot of time to eat in New Orleans,
The interview went well
Once we got William to shut up.
And the levee didn’t break, Atchafallaya.
Laissez les bons temps roullez!
