submissions Spineless Books does not accept submissions at this time, so that we may focus resources on work we have already accepted. bookseller policy Independent booksellers are inescapably important cultural loci. Many of our books are distributed through Ingram, though we prefer to deal with booksellers directly when possible. Unless we have done business before, we cannot do a consignment arrangement. The bookseller pays up front and receives a 50% discount, with the exception of University bookstores who tend to be inflexible but reliable. Credit cards are accepted only through paypal. Checks or money orders are made payable to "Spineless Books." Postage is on us. Prompt delivery is ensured. get involved: proofreading Each indisputable error in usage or spelling you find on our website is worth one dollar in Spineless credit. Email us eight, ten, sixteen, or twnety-six obvious mistakes, and we'll send you the appropriately priced book of your choice (shipping is free). Bear in mind that some experimental writing relies on unconventional language, which does not constitute a mistake. Further, this offer does not apply to the essays of Larry McCaffery published here, because Larry has a religious belief in the significance of the “glitch.” We ask your help in proofreading to make the website a better resource for readers and writers. poetry by prisoners We need help typing poetry by prisoners. Email for details. designers and programmers We are seeking designers and collaborators to contribute their work for art's sake, portfolio-building, good karma, and punk cred. We have interesting books looking for book or cover designers and/or cover art, online literary projects for those who wish to sharpen web skills, catalogs, postcards, bookmarks, and all manner of printed wonders in our endless queue of quirky-cool work. Our designer friends get full credit, fame if not fortune.
