The pantoum is a Malayan form in which the second and fourth lines of each stanza become the first and third lines of the subsequent stanza. The form offers a pattern that can be reapplied on different scales. Knights of Pious County is a micropantoum, in which the second and fourth lines of every line become the first and third words of the subsequent line. The pantoum can also be combined with other forms.
Clinton Does Vietnam is a panku—a combination of pantoum and haiku forms.
