NEWSPOEM 20 FEBRUARY 1996 The Space Shuttle Conquistador lifted off yesterday with the Moon in tow. Although a blinking star indicated a faulty sky the liftoff was succesful. NASA hopes that by the end of the month the Moon will be back in orbit, after serving time for disturbing the peace last February. The Moon is bound to the shuttle by a bunji tether which has unreeled the moon to a distance of ten miles. There is some danger that when the moon is released the tether will snap back and collide with the shuttle. The Moon reported relief. |
