Invisible Tears

Craig Bradley

You’ll never know that I’m crying, when you look at my face,
You’ll see a big smile, with no tears you can trace.
The sound of my sobbing, I can hear it all so clear,
But you’ll just hear silence, even when you stand near.
My appearance on the surface, it seems to easily hide,
From all the eyes that look upon me, the turmoil inside.
Tears you’ll never see, are falling like the rain,
Invisible to those who don’t understand the pain.
It’s so hard when you’re shackled and locked to a chain.
