Ron Suskind. The Price of Loyalty. 2004.

Didja see that movie Fog of War? See it. It reminds me of this book. The phone calls between Johnson and Macnamera, Johnson the Texan ideologue warmonger, Macnamera the rational analyst. Politics versus policy. Policy gets fired.

This book is cool but has detailed economics stuff and is hard to follow except the parts about how W just maybe isn't the sharpest letter opener that's ever been in the Oval Office (like a blind man in a room full of deaf people) which I think most of us can get behind.
